Cashless Insurance Made Simple

Cashless Treatment at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre

Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC) offers cashless treatment for eligible patients through tie-ups with leading insurance providers and Third Party Administrators (TPAs).

To ensure a smooth process, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Collect the Pre-Authorization Form

If you're planning to use insurance for your treatment:

  • Visit the Insurance Helpdesk or your clinic to collect the pre-authorization form.
  • In case of emergency admissions through the Casualty Counter, you can complete the form at the helpdesk on the next working day.

Step 2: Submit Required Documents

Submit the completed form along with the following:

  • Your TPA card or a copy of your insurance policy
  • Photo ID proof (like Aadhaar card)
  • Photo ID and one passport-size photo of the primary policyholder (if applicable)
  • Laboratory reports and outpatient consultation records

For accident-related cases, you are required to submit:

  • First Information Report (FIR), MLC, or Accident Report
  • A self-declaration letter from the patient and doctor explaining when, where, and how the accident happened
  • A letter from the first treating doctor stating if the patient was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident
  • If the patient was first treated at another hospital, a letter from that hospital’s doctor is required

Approval Timeline

  • Insurance approval usually takes up to 24 hours on working days.
  • If there are any queries, it may take up to 2-3 days.
  • In most cases, our team manages to get approval within 3 to 6 hours by promptly following up with the insurer.

Before Insurance Approval

Until we receive approval:

  • The patient will be considered and treated as a cash-paying patient.
  • An initial deposit will be required.
  • Once insurance is approved, the deposit amount will be adjusted or refunded (Cash/NEFT) when the patient is discharged.

Additional Approvals and Support

  • If needed, further approvals may be requested.
  • The patient may have to pay for any expenses not covered by insurance.

If you have questions or need support, our Insurance Helpdesk is here to assist you every step of the way.
