Pre-Admission
At Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC), inpatient admission is initiated following a doctor's recommendation during an outpatient consultation, except in emergency cases. Our Private Clinic Executives will guide you through the entire process, including admission, financial counseling (such as the estimated cost of hospitalization), payment options, and any necessary preparations.
For emergency cases, admissions are handled through the Emergency Medicine Department on the ground floor. Our admission desk staff will assist with all procedures, providing information on room options, costs, and alternative accommodations. In cases of admission to specialized areas like the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or labor room, our staff will ensure that attendees are comfortably accommodated within the campus.

Surgery/Procedures
If you are scheduled for surgery or a medical procedure, pre-admission investigations are required to ensure your fitness for surgery. These include collecting your clinical history and conducting essential tests such as Laboratory and Radiology investigation. Please inform your doctor about any pre-existing conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma or drug allergies.
Things to Carry for Admission
Please ensure to bring the following documents when registering for admission:
- Any one Goverment Identity proof
- Admission slip
- OP file
- Insurance card (if applicable)
- Corporate card/letter (for corporate health plan users)
- All investigation reports
- Personal clothing and footwear (ICU patients will be provided with hospital attire)

Admission Process
Upon admission, you will be asked to provide certain information to help us understand your needs better. Our Executive will assist you with the following categories of admission:
- Individual Category: An initial deposit is required at the time of admission, for which a receipt will be issued.
- Insurance Category: If you are covered under an insurance plan, please provide valid details at the time of admission to expedite the approval process, as pre-authorization is required within 24 hours. For emergency admissions, insurance details must be submitted within 24 hours. For TPA-covered patients, please bring your cashless hospitalization card. The insurance counter is located on the first floor (Ext. No. 410/8499).
- Corporate Category: If covered under a corporate health plan, please bring an authorization letter from your organization. For emergency cases, prior authorization must be submitted to the corporate desk on the first floor within 24 hours.

Room assignment is based on your diagnosis, bed availability, and insurance or affordability. Our admission counsellors will help you select the appropriate room.
