About the Department

Department of Neuro and Interventional Radiology, specializes in advanced imaging and image-guiding techniques to diagnose and treat neurovascular conditions of the brain and spine using minimally invasive procedures. Neuro and interventional radiology division which was initially a part of the department of Radiology, started functioning as an independent unit since 2012 and has been performing various endovascular neuro and vascular interventional procedures. The Department is well equipped with a state of the art Biplane 3D Rotational DSA Biplane flat panel large display Philips FD20X20 with latest and advanced neuro interventional softwares and hardwares, round the clock ultra-modern diagnostic equipment consisting of 3 CT units -one 64 Slice Multidetector CT, two 16 slice CT scanner, two 1.5T MRI and one 3 Tesla MRI, PET CT, and dedicated integrated PACS network for optimizing work flow. The addition of 3D Rotational DSA facility has resulted in a quantum leap in invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures and established this centre an area of excellence in neuro & vascular interventional procedures in the country. We are one of India’s leading comprehensive tertiary stroke care center. Further, trained and experienced neurocath lab staffs, dedicated neuro ICU and ward staff nurses work round the clock to achieve the best patient outcomes. 

We provide in-patient care and out-patient services for treatment of vascular disease of the brain, head, neck, spine, gastro-intestinal, Genito-urinary and peripheral vascular disorders. These include brain aneurysms, vascular malformations, carotid disease, interventional stroke therapy, gastro-intestinal bleed and peripheral vascular disorders.
