Research Focus
Research is an important aspect of Neurology Department's mission at Sri Ramachandra Medical College, driving innovation, discovery, and advancements in the field of neurology. Our faculty members are actively engaged in a diverse array of basic science, translational, and clinical research projects.
One of our key research focuses is on stroke care and prevention, with projects aimed at identifying risk factors, biomarkers, and novel therapeutic targets to improve outcomes for stroke patients. We have a comprehensive Stroke Registry : CRROSS (Chennai Ramachandra Registry of stroke Surveillance), where the demographic, clinical, investigative and treatment dada is recorded. Multiple other prospective studies based on stroke are underway. Apart from stroke
We have about 84 publications from our department. We have multiple studies and research work going on in the department now. We have received grant from Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences.
