In her MBBS studies, Dr. Saishree was awarded the prestigious Mr. Ajai J Mathews Gold Medal in Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry. She also received the Sri N. Selvaradjalou Chettiar Memorial Award in Community Medicine, and the Dr. S. Lakshmanan Memorial Awards in Community Medicine, Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, and Ophthalmology. Additionally, she earned the Shri Venkatasubba Reddiar Gold Medal U.G. in Internal Medicine, reflecting her exceptional performance and dedication in these fields.

Project: Targeted Oxygenation in the Respiratory care of Premature Infants at Delivery: Effects on Outcome (TORPIDO 30/60). Project Description: The TORPIDO 30/60 Study is a multicentric trial aiming to enroll 1470 premature infants up to 28+6 weeks gestation across multiple continents including Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the Middle-East, Europe, North America, and Latin America. The primary hypothesis of the study is that adjusting initial respiratory care in the delivery room can improve survival without major brain injury. Specifically, it compares two approaches: Initial FiO2 0.6 versus Initial FiO2 0.3. The study then targets oxygen saturation (SpO2) within NRP guidelines at 5 and 10 minutes post-birth and continues this approach until admission to the NICU.

Dr. Saishree has further distinguished herself through her contributions to research. She has authored research articles published in both International and National journals, highlighting her commitment to advancing medical knowledge. Additionally, she has presented her research findings at various International and National Conferences, demonstrating her active involvement and leadership in the academic and scientific communities.

Throughout her career, Dr. Saishree has been actively involved in clinical practice, research, and academic pursuits. She has authored research articles published in both International and National journals, focusing on areas such as breastmilk, human milk banking, neonatal resuscitation (NRP), and neurodevelopmental outcomes in high-risk infants. Her expertise extends to being a resource person for workshops on neonatology and pediatrics.

Dr. Saishree's commitment to advancing neonatal care is evident through her ongoing Quality Improvement initiative, "Fight Sepsis QI," aimed at reducing sepsis among neonates admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). She has presented her work at various International and National conferences, exemplified by receiving the PROFESSOR DR. REKHA UDANI AWARD FOR BEST FREE PAPER AWARD at the IAPNeoCON, International Neonatology Summit, Kerala, 2022.
