  • Drug Safety and Storage: Medications are stored safely with proper storage protocols, including cold storage facilities with 24-hour power backup.

  • Special Handling for Electrolytes: High-concentration electrolytes are diluted and sent to the appropriate wards, ICUs, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
  • High-Alert Medications: Look-alike and sound-alike drugs are labeled with color-coded stickers for enhanced safety.
  • No Medication Samples: Sample medications are not used anywhere on the premises to ensure uniformity and safety.

  • Prescription Audit: Every prescription is reviewed by a Prescription Audit Team for appropriateness.
  • Tablet Dilution: Tablets not commercially available in lower strengths are diluted in-house to meet patient needs.
  • Crash Cart Storage: Emergency and essential medications are readily available in ward-level crash carts.
  • Expiry Management: Medications nearing expiration are removed and returned to suppliers three months prior to their expiry date.
  • In-Patient Needs: All in-patient medication needs are handled bedside through our online prescription system.

  • Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) Reporting: All ADRs and side effects are reported to the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India.
