Department of Occupational Therapy offers In-patients and Out-patients services in association
with Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre. The thrust areas of services have evolved in Paediatric to Geriatric
care. The Specialty Service units involve interaction with various multidisciplinary teams. The routine
clinical units and specialty clinics for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes are located in the Occupational
Therapy Premises include the following.

Developmental Therapy Unit : Our Developmental Therapy unit specializes in early Intervention and therapy for children with developmental delays and disabilities. We provide Early Intervention programs, Therapeutic Play, Parental Supportive training, Handwriting Training, Group Therapy for children, Oro-motor evaluation/training, play therapy etc.,

Sensory Integration Therapy Unit : Sensory Integration Therapy unit addresses Sensory Processing Disorders in children. Our Services include individual assessments, customized therapy goals, therapeutic activities such as Sensory Play, Motor Planning Activities, Sensory Diets, Adaptive Equipment, etc.,

Sensory Stimulation Therapy Unit : Sensory Stimulation rooms are tailor-made environments consisting of pieces of multisensory equipment to provide a very controllable sensory-focused environment. It meets an individual’s specific sensory needs and creates a relaxed environment for quality personal interactions.

Hand and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Unit : This Unit provides specialized care for conditions affecting the upper extremities and musculoskeletal system. Our services include Fracture and injury management, post-surgical rehabilitation, pain management strategies, scar management, sensory & Motor Re-education, Ergonomics consultations, Provision of assistive & Adaptive devices, Wheelchair consultation & Training Joint Protection techniques, energy conservation & work simplification techniques and functional training for daily activities.

Hand Splinting Unit : Our Hand Splinting Unit offers custom-made splints to support the rehabilitation process. We provide customized splint fabrication, static and dynamic splints etc.,

We provide high standard Clinical exposure to create customized splints based on various rehab strategies by selecting appropriate designs, looking up on diagnosis and prognosis, occupational performance, provide patient education and ensure proper fit and comfort.

SAHAYA - Sri Ramachandra Rehabilitation Centre : Comprehensive Occupational Therapy services designed to enhance the functional abilities and Quality of Life for individuals of all ages. Services offered are comphrensive assessment, tailor made Intervention plan, cognitive rehabilitation training, Activities of daily living (ADL) training, Fine and Gross motor training, Visual Perceptual training, Wheelchair and Transfer training, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Functional mobility training Adaptive and Assistive Equipment training, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Drivers Rehabilitation, Vocational resettlement and Community Reintegration, Patient and caregiver education.

Mental Health Unit : Mental Health Occupational Therapy unit is designed to engage the clients in
various activities. Their services include initial assessments, treatment plans and therapeutic activities
aimed at improving cognitive and emotional well-being .The unit offers social skill training, life skill
training and community reintegration.
