SRIHER was inaugurated in 1985, as the Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Centre. The founding of the Department of Cardiology dates back to 3rd November 1994 and was called the ‘Cardiac Care Centre’. The department focused on Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery and Cardiac Anesthesiology.
